Reconnecting

Had a very nice ride on Danzig this morning.  This was the first time I have been able to ride for a couple of weeks, for one reason and another.  It reminded me that I am most alive, feel most connected to myself and the world around me, when I am with horses, and able to really be there in the moment with them.  It doesn't matter if I am riding or grooming or mucking out or working on them...It is enough to simply BE, in their presence.
